1.0 and renewed plans

We're happy to announce that the milestones we set out in december 2007 have been reached. Bildy is now out of beta and ready for the big world!

Software is never ready. There are still so many places for innovation, so many features to implement and so many things to reveal, that it's really really hard to say this is 1.0. But the truth is: we are now where we set out to be, and Bildy has survived the deep end. Big thanks to all of our beta testers! You've given us a wonderful array of different environments, use cases and great insight.

We got many questions concerning plans and affiliate program. To our surprise, Bildy has got a lot of interest from developers working with small businesses. However the plans we set out didn't fit their projects. Plans for personal projects were also unclear. So we did some adjusting to make plans simple and more suitable. The price for normal plan was cut down, a new plan for small businesses was created and Bildy is now free for any personal project.

We're still thinking about affiliate program. We want to do this right, so we're collecting more data and looking how developers are using Bildy in their projects. To be clear, when we do roll out with affiliate program, you will be rewarded accordingly by everything you've done so far.

Our core development takes a summer break and gets some fresh air. Support will continue non-stop as before. We're looking forward to the coming fall and all the exciting things to come.
